The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Anniversary Gala Ball in Noordwijk the 28th of October 2010 were attended by over 500 guests celebrating the 50th anniversary.
The evening started with a welcoming reception, followed by the dinner in Hotel van Oranjes grand ballroom “the Wintergarden”. Guest speaker during the gala was Mr. Mikael Treschow, Chairman Ericsson and Unilever.  In between the different delicious dishes served, moderator Charlotte Kalin, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, invited Mr. Ingvar Kamprad on stage to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, handed over by Crown Princess Victoria herself.  After the prize ceremony the Swedish mezzo soprano Malena Ernman added extra glamour to the evening with her amazing performance, accompanied by pianist Roland Pöntinen.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands would like to say thanks for all the congratulations on our 50th Anniversary and also specifically thank  all the guests who participated and made this great evening possible.

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Mikael Ohlsson, CEO IKEA Group of Companies

More than 80 Swedish Chamber members and their guests participated at The Master Class Luncheon on the 23rd of September 2010 to listen to keynote speaker Mr. Mikael Ohlsson, CEO of IKEA Group of Companies. After a delicious lunch buffet by La Cuisine Scandinave Catering, Mikael Ohlsson presented the IKEA of today, how the organisation handles their world wide growth, sustainability matters, the importance of constant innovative thinking and their current strategic direction “Growing Ikea – Together”. The presentation ended interactive with questions from the guests to Mr. Ohlsson. Among other issues dealt with, the audience was especially interested in how IKEA withholds its strong company culture while growing increasingly. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Mr. Mikael  Ohlsson for giving a very interesting insight in IKEA and all attending guests participation in the September Master Class Luncheon.

About 25 Chamber members participated in the Chamber Study trip to Stockholm this summer where very interesting and innovative sustainability presentations were given by Kista Science Centre, Hammarby Sjöstad, SCA and Stockholm Business Region. The Duch Ambassador Mr. E. Craanen invited the members of the Swedish and Dutch Chambers to his lovely Residence for a very nice reception. At the following dinner at Stockholm Sheraton Mr. Michael Treschow, Chairman Unilever addressed the guests with a very inspiring speech. On Saturday June 19th we were delighted to join the celebrations of the Royal wedding of the Crown Princess and Mr. Daniel Westling. The Swedish Chamber of and Commerce would like to thank the Frisian Yacht Club and the Royal Netherlands Navy for the very special reception on deck of the Hr.Ms.Urania in Stockholm.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all the participants for joining the Swe-Cham on the trip to Stockholm and for making the Study Trip to a great success. We would also like to thank Mr. Björn Skala, former Swedish Ambassador to Sweden in the Netherlands and Mr. Olle Werner, former Chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for joining us in Stockholm.

Greetings from the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Stockholm!

On the 17th of June 2010 the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands had a successful network dinner at the Sheraton Hotel in Stockholm. The Swedish Chamber visited Stockholm with about 30 business people that are interested in doing business in Sweden or already have a link
with Sweden.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce was very honoured to welcome Mr. Victor Muller, CEO Spyker Cars as Key-Note speaker on the last Master Class Luncheon of the season on June 7. The Luncheon was held at the magnificent InterContinetal Amstel, Amsterdam. Almost 90 Swe-Cham members, FDTG and DDBC members and their guests listened to an outstanding presentation by Mr. Muller about the exiting Saab-Spyker deal. Mr. Mullers inspiring presentation led to interesting questions and discussions among the enthusiastic audience. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Mr. Muller for his time and excellent speech and InterContiental Amstel for support and excellent lunch. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce also would like to thank all members for this seasons Master Class Luncheons. The autumn season Master Class Luncheons will start September 28, 2010 with Mr. Mikael Ohlsson, CEO IKEA. Welcome!!
