Visit to Heineken Experience, March 13

Heineken experience!
On March 13 the members of JCC visited the Heineken Experience, Amsterdam. It was a joyful and very interesting visit, which gave an overall view of Heinekens history and the process of brewing beer. During the tour the guests were given the chance to taste the beer through the different stages of the brewing process and to learn how to taste a beer in the right way! This was an excellent opportunity for JCC members to catch up with old friends and to meet new JCC members! After the tour and presentations the group continued the evening at the bar Het Paardje with drinks and fun in a very nice atmosphere.

Visit to ESA/ESTEC with presentation and tour, February 11

Visit to ESA/ESTEC
On 12 February, 2010 Swedish Chamber of Commerce was invited to visit the European Space Research and Technology Centre in Noordwijk.  Mr. Martin Johansson, Galileo Payload Manager, welcomed the members of the Swe-Cham with a presentation and introduction to the ESA/ESTEC space activities followed by a tour to several of the impressing laboratories on the premises.
By pooling the resources of 18 Member States ESA undertakes programmes and activities far beyond the scope of any single European country, developing the launches, spacecraft and ground facilities needed to keep Europe at the forefront of global space activities. The ESA laboratories are spread over Europe. Noordwijk hosts about 2000 international employees at their premises. Mr. Johansson gave the guests a very interesting view of the activities and purposes of the organisation and the Swedish Chamber is very thankful to be given the possibility to visit the European Space Agency in Noordwijk.
