15 May, 2013 Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference, May 15

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Vrouwennetwerk VNO-NCW and the Swedish Embassy are delighted that more than 150 guests participated in the Swedish Dutch Conference Women’s Entrepreneurship on May 15, 2013. The Conference offered an interactive exchange of experiences between Sweden and the Netherlands together with inspiring and personal presentations by prominent keynote speakers.

In Nederland starten meer vrouwen een eigen bedrijf dan in Zweden, maar in Zweden hebben meer vrouwen topfuncties in organisaties. Zweedse en Nederlandse ondernemers en politici wisselden op 15 mei hun successen en tekortkomingen in ondernemerschap uit op de bijeenkomst van het VNO-NCW VrouwenNetwerk, de Zweedse Ambassade en de Zweedse Kamer van Koophandel bij Siemens in Den Haag. 26 April, Uppsala Career Tour visits the Swedish Chamber, April 26
On April 26, Uppsala Career Tour a group of 25 specially selected business students from Uppsala University visited the Swedish Chamber of Commerce’s head office. The students listened to Kerstin Gerlagh presenting the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands, Sara Biesheuvel from the Swedish Embassy presenting the Embassy’s work and Frank van Eldik, Mazars. The interactive discussions focused on the Dutch-Swedish business life and the possibilities for students and graduates to find jobs and internship in the Netherlands. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce was very honoured to host Uppsala Career Tour during their visit to Amsterdam.

 
 
22 April, 2013 Swedish Business in Brabant , April 22

On April 22, 2013 “Swedish Business in Brabant #4” was organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, BOM and Handelsbanken. The program “Internationalization of Transport” was hosted by Scania at their headquarters in Breda where nearly 40 guests listened to the presentation. The program included presentations by Evert Halvarsson, Managing Director of Scania Benelux, Tom van de Mosselaar, Director Sales Benelux, Bert Peeters, Managing Director Finance Scania Belgium, Marie-Jose Rutten, Director Human Resources & Organisational Development at Scania Benelux and Cees Meeuwis Alderman Employment and Enterprise, Breda. After the presentations the guests mingled, enjoyed drinks and exclusive finger food. The Swedish Chamber, BOM and Handelsbanken Breda Branch would like to thank their guests for attending the Swedish Business in Brabant event, and special thanks of course to Scania for hosting the event and for making it a huge success.

21 April, 2013 Hermitage Amsterdam, April 21

More than 20 persons gathered on the sunny Sunday afternoon for an exclusive presentation by Sebastiaan Lagendaal, head of Security and Facilities at Hermitage Amsterdam. Sebastiaan shared his experience of working with delicate art and diverse challenges from handling a 400 year old icon to transporting 2.6 x 3.9m Matisse’s La Danse from St. Petersburg to the Netherlands. The group later enjoyed the exhibition on Peter the Great (1672–1725), the Tsar commonly known as the modernizer of Russia. Thank you Hermitage and Sebastiaan Lagendaal for this nice cultural experience!

 
 
11 April, 2013 JCC After Work , April 11

On April 11, 2013 the JCC Young Professionals After Work took place at Cafe Ysbreeker. Despite the gloomy weather the AW gathered a big crowd and we were happy to see many new members attending their first JCC Event together with familiar faces.

The JCC events is a great opportunity to meet new and old JCC members and we are already looking forward to iniviting you to the next event. You are welcome to JCC visits Hermitage 21 April, 2013.
