Name? Tomas Adler Age? 32 Profession? It-consultant Where are you from? Stockholm Why did you come to Holland? My Girlfriend is Dutch, so after a two year long distance relationship I decided that it was time to see more of each other. Why JCC? I came in contact with JCC on the Crayfish party. I liked it so I joined. Best thing with Holland? That it is in the middle of Europe. Most places in Europe become so much more accessible from here. I also like that Amsterdam have a so international and friendly feeling. Favorite hangout? Cafe Helden. It is a nice place to start the evening. Tips for JCC? I like that its easy to join in on the events even though you don't attend every time. It would be nice though with a little more activities during the summer. Name? Maarja Krillo Age? 27 Profession? Sales representative on KLM Where are you from? Pärnu, Estonia. But I have been living in Stockholm the last couple of years. Why did you come to Holland? It was more a coincidence. I graduated and wanted to work abroad. So I applied for some jobs and got a job I liked at KLM. I’m interested in entrepreneurship and the Dutch have a history of trade, so I thought that I could learn something from the Dutch. Why JCC? I was recommended by a friend that have been living here for a while that JCC could be a good organization to come in contact with when you move to Holland. Best thing with Holland? I like that Holland is placed in the middle of Europe. Everything is so much closer and it’s still relatively close to home. I also like that it is so international, people from all different nationalities and cultures. Favorite hangout? I love a restaurant called Castro. It’s a Tapas restaurant in Amsterdam. The food is so good. Another thing I really like is the wine bars in Haarlem, many of them are so cozy and are perfect if you want to spend some time with friends. Tips for JCC? I would like more social events where the members could mingle and get to know each other better. Who do you want to be in the next Ten Questions? Tomas Adler

Congratulation Karolin Arvidsson JCC member number 100! JCC did a field trip to surprise JCC’s one hundred member, Karolin Arvidsson at her work Thursday October 7, 2010. A surprised and happy Karolin received a “Swedish bouquet” in blue and yellow from JCC representative Erik Westerlund. She also received the Swedish Chamber of Commerce scarf and pin. JCC took the opportunity to do the famous ten questions interview. Name? Karolin Arvidsson
Age? 24
Profession? KLM customer care.
Where are you from? Sollentuna, North of Stockholm
Why did you come to Holland? I studied as an exchange student in Amsterdam. After my semester as an exchange student was over, I felt so at home here that I decided to stay. I finished my studies via internet based courses held by my university in Sweden so that I could stay.
Why JCC? I heard about it from people that it could be a good thing to join if you want to meet people and broaden your network. I am not sure whether to start my own company or to where I would like to work in the future. JCC could be a good way of meeting friends and build a network.
Best thing with Holland? That I can go wherever I want with my bike. I live in Haarlem and I even take the bike to Amsterdam sometimes. I have bought bags for my bike so I can go shopping on the markets and take everything with me. I love it!
Favorite hangout? The town square in Haarlem. I really recommend everyone to come see it and have a coffee at one of the cafès.
Tips for JCC? I would love to go to a JCC costume party. There are so many lovely secondhand stores in Amsterdam so finding a costume wouldn’t be any problem.
Who do you want to see in the next Ten Questions? My dear friend Maarja Krillo. She is so much fun and would be a great person to interview.
