Syntens, STZ (teaching hospitals) and Skipr organizes a study trip to Stockholm in February 2012. Purpose of this trip is to learn more about the successful Swedish innovation initiatives in Healthcare. Main subjects are innovation, quality and valorization in de context of healthcare.
A central place is given to the Karolinska Institute. The innovation system of the Karolinska institute is unique. They have a well thought-out strategy, smart chain structure, an investment fund and an organized integration of innovation in the university and the hospital. And, for sure one for the key success factors, they had and have a lot of courage. Beside the Karolinska institute, we will get to know more about the successes and methods of Vinnova (www.vinnova.se/en), learn about the outcome focused and transparent quality system of Swedish Healthcare (http://www.bcg.nl/documents/file85959.pdf) and will discuss the possibilities to translate these successes to the Dutch healthcare system. Invited are the board of directors and R&D directors of the teaching and academic hospitals, SME’s who do or see business opportunities in healthcare (medical technology and life sciences), board of directors of health insurance companies, the national government, board of directors of knowledge institutions and board of directors of banks and investment funds.
